EXPLANATIONS OF THE FINAL ANSWER…

The first image in the first quiz was showing the surface of the planet Mars. As some of you are maybe aware, the red surface of this planet is considered to come from the various minerals containing the metal iron, mostly in its many oxide forms.

Second image was showing the painting “Self-portrait”, made by famous Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. Even do V. van Gogh was unknown in his own time (it is believed that he sold only one of his paintings in his whole life, “The Red Vineyard”), he became famous after his death, mostly because of his later works, that were made in many red, yellow and orange shades of color. Many people think he started to make paintings in this colors because he was suffering from chromesthesia, the color sickness, so he had problems with recognizing some colors (like Daltonism or color blindness). And in the art of painting; red, yellow and orange colors are obtainted from the (natural) pigments that contain iron oxides minerals.
