…After first two tests that I hope you had at least tried to solve, no matter how hard they were (especially the last one), we continue further with the exploration of the world of science and arts!
The third, more artistic than scientific problem is for you to solve in the next seven days.
Again, I say, for all of you who wants to play with me, to make things clearer, I suggest you to read the rules of this game at the beginning of the post cIQuiz… – Let´s Play the SciArT Game!
For those who tried to solve the second task, all the right answers and explanations are written at the bottom of this post.
By the way, this time, I have decided to insert six images as the possible answers to this week´s quiz, so maybe that will make this test a little bit easier…
So, let´s begin!
Data/image resources obtained from the:
ANSWERS TO cIQuiz II…
COMMON TERM was
CORRECT ANSWERS were
B) 2,3-dimethylbut-2-ene, D) 2-methylprop-1-ene (i.e. all the unsaturated hydrocarbons (Alkenes) that have a perfect symmetric chemical structure)
INCORRECT ANSWERS were
A) trans-pent-2-ene, C) trans-hex-3-ene, E) cis-hept-3-ene, F) trans-okt-4-ene
EXPLANATIONS OF THE FINAL ANSWER…
First image was showing a building of Agha Bozorg Mosque, an almost perfect symmetry masterpiece of the architecture (like Taj Mahal), while the other was an image of a Jewelled Carpet plant, with the same perfect symmetry pattern.
So, all the provided possible answers in a form of the names of the chemical compounds from the group of Alkenes, the Hydrocarbon unsaturated compounds (with a C=C chemical bond) in Organic Chemistry (remember the chemistry in your school 😉 ) that had a perfect symmetry (as explained in the image above) were the right answers, while the others were incorrect.
